We’ve named and famed some of our favourite hair accessories and trends from 2017 so you can add a bit of oomph to your holiday hair styles this summer:

Glitter is a great hair accessory for this summer!

First and foremost, let’s talk about glitter. It’s the trend that’s taken festivals by storm all over the country and beyond, is regularly spotted at your local Saturday night hotspot and, to be quite honest, we wouldn’t bat an eyelid if we saw someone wearing it to work. What a great way to get through those Monday blues?! From straight down the middle parting to decorating plaits and in an array of colours including silver, blue, purple and gold, this is a go-to style for most this summer. The sparkle immediately adds a bit of oomph to your hair and with the daily stresses of everyday life, who doesn’t want to feel like a fairy from time to time?

What was once considered slightly school girl-esque, the scrunchie has made a comeback in a big way. A fun and efficient way of keeping your hair back, which also gives you the chance to be creative and bold with colour, the scrunchie is a necessity for any holiday plans you have this year. Perfect your high pony this summer and buy yourself a scrunchie ASAP!

Return of the Band

Think Blair Waldorf season one, the pinnacle of elegance and bang on trend this summer, the head band is back with a vengeance. Gossip Girl may have popularised the headband in the noughties, but the likes of Sienna Miller, Alexa Chung and Charlize Theron are just a few of the A-listers spotted embracing the trend. A practical, efficient and neat way of taming the mane this summer, jump on the ‘band’wagon next time you hit the shops!

Rings/Cuff Holders

Just when you think you’ve heard everything, someone invents jewellery for the hair; and we’re all for it! Gold and silver rings in an array of varieties, some bejewelled, some with pendants and patterns are entwined into plaits, curls and hair styles for a truly fabulous end result. Check out our Instagram for some plaiting inspiration as we are currently in the midst of our 30 days 30 braids series, before accessorising your twists for your next big night out. These work particularly well for wedding hair, and can be the perfect for bridal hair, Bristol. Cuff holders can be thought of as more of a bracelet for the hair, and jazz up a plain old tie tenfold.

Decorated Hair Ties

Take it one step further with hair ties that are decorated with pendants and will look fabulous on any up do of your choosing. The real advantage of this is that, while not in use, the hair ties look like quirky bracelets for decoration. These hair styles come in a variety of colours and styles, allowing you to experiment with new colours and try out new up-do’s with confidence.

Flower Headbands

This old chestnut has been a part of the festival wardrobe for decades, and it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere soon. From loud and proud flowers on a thick band to an elegant row of daisies, there’s a flower band for every festival-goer this summer. These can be a great way to hide day 3 hair, where a need to wash is reaching its peak.
